Psychotherapy / Counselling

It all depends on how we look at things and not on how they are in themselves
C.G. Jung

There are times in all our lives when we experience stress, anxiety, loss or some form of emotional pain. It can be hard to deal with these experiences on our own, and sometimes it can be difficult to talk with those who are closest to us.

When you come to a professional counsellor or psychotherapist, either in person or online, you can expect a respectful and confidential response to whatever issues are concerning you.

Engaging in psychotherapy or counselling can help to make sense of experiences, feelings, thoughts, or behaviour that have not made much sense. Through the process of therapy we can gain a better understanding of ourselves, of how we have come to feel the way we do, how we have come to be in whatever situation we find ourselves. For example, it is a common experience to wonder why the same patterns keep repeating in relationships, or why one might feel depressed for no obvious reason, or anxious in some social situations and not others.

The increased self-knowledge we gain through psychotherapy/counselling can help us to recognise what is best for our own wellbeing, to develop in how we respond to ourselves, to others and the wider world. Therapy can help us to take charge of our own lives.

Here is a FREE guided breathing focussed meditation with a spoken intro which I recorded to be of help in times of stress.
